Accountancy 4 You Ltd
Version 1.0, effective from 13 October 2026
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use accountancy4you.com, contact us or become our client, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to the whole website, including our pages for property investors and Polish people in the UK (/property-company/, /polish-accountant-uk/, /pl/spolka-nieruchomosci/, /pl/ksiegowy-uk/).
The English version of this policy is the legally binding one. The Polish version is a translation provided for convenience.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The controller of your personal data is:
Accountancy 4 You Ltd
Registered in England and Wales, company number 08264570
Registered office: 68-70 Ground Floor Market Street, Hyde, England, SK14 1ES
VAT number: GB182544891
For any question about your data or to use your rights, contact us at:
- Email: office@accountancy4you.com
- Phone: 0161 505 2712
- Post: the registered office address above
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the law does not require it for a firm of our size. Questions about privacy are handled by our directors.
2. What data we collect and where it comes from
Data you give us
- Website enquiry forms: your first name, phone number, email address and your answers to a few short questions (for example what you need help with, or how many properties you own). We also record that you agreed to be contacted.
- Phone calls, emails and messages (including WhatsApp): your name, contact details and anything you tell us about your situation.
- If you become a client: identity documents and proof of address (required by anti-money laundering law), date of birth, National Insurance number, UTR, address, bank details, information about your income, property, company, employees and tax affairs, and any other documents needed to provide our services.
Please do not send us sensitive information (for example about your health) through the website form. If we need any for your tax affairs, we will ask for it in a secure way.
Data collected automatically when you use the website
- Lead source: when you send a form, our website records how you found us (for example a Google advert, a Google search or another website, the page you first landed on and the advert click identifier). This is stored with your enquiry so we know which of our adverts and pages work.
- Usage data from cookies and similar technologies: pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location (city or region, based on your IP address), and whether you clicked our phone number or sent a form. Analytics and advertising cookies are only used if you agree to them. See section 9.
- Spam protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which checks signals such as your IP address and browser behaviour to tell people from bots.
Data from other sources
- If you are a client, we may receive information from HMRC, Companies House, your bank, your previous accountant or other advisers, and from identity verification services used for anti-money laundering checks.
- If someone recommends us to you, they may pass on your name and contact details.
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we must have a legal basis for each use of your data. These are ours:
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry, call you back and arrange a consultation | Steps you asked us to take before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and your consent given in the form (Article 6(1)(a)) |
| Provide accounting, tax, payroll and company services to clients | Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) |
| Identity checks and anti-money laundering checks, keeping records for HMRC, Companies House and our professional body | Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)), including the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and tax and company law |
| Record where enquiries come from and measure which adverts and pages bring enquiries | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): running and improving our marketing effectively |
| Website analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) through the cookie banner |
| Advertising and measuring advert results (Google Ads, Meta) | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) through the cookie banner |
| Protect the website and forms from spam and abuse | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): keeping our website secure |
| Keep business records and handle complaints or legal claims | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) and legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see section 7). This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need. They act on our instructions under written contracts (processors), unless stated otherwise.

5. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers store or access data outside the UK:
- Google and Meta may process data in the United States. Both take part in the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the “UK-US data bridge”), which the UK Government recognises as providing adequate protection. Where that does not apply, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Elevation Group is based in Poland (European Union). The UK recognises EU countries as providing adequate protection, so no extra safeguards are needed.
You can ask us for more information about these safeguards using the contact details in section 1.
6. How long we keep your data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Enquiries from people who do not become clients (forms, emails, call notes) | 24 months from the last contact, then deleted. |
| Client records, including anti-money laundering checks | For the duration of our engagement and 6 years after it ends, to meet tax, company law and anti-money laundering requirements (the Money Laundering Regulations require at least 5 years). |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months, then deleted automatically. |
| Cookies | See the table in section 9 |
If we need to keep data longer because of a complaint, legal claim or investigation, we keep it until the matter is resolved.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data (“right to be forgotten”), where we no longer need it or have no legal reason to keep it;
- restrict how we use your data, for example while we check a complaint;
- object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests, and at any time to direct marketing;
- data portability: receive data you gave us in a common electronic format, or have it sent to another provider, where we use it based on consent or a contract;
- withdraw your consent at any time: for the contact consent, just tell us; for cookies, use the cookie settings button on the website (see section 9).
To use any of these rights, contact us at office@accountancy4you.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Using your rights is free, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Some rights are limited by law. For example, we cannot delete client records that we must keep for HMRC or anti-money laundering purposes until the required period ends.
Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, phone 0303 123 1113.
8. Is providing your data required?
Giving us your details through the website is voluntary. Without your name and at least one way to contact you, we cannot reply to your enquiry. If you become a client, the law requires us to verify your identity before we can act for you, and we need certain information to prepare your accounts and tax returns.
9. Cookies
Cookies are small files saved on your device by your browser. We use them to make the website work, and, only if you agree, to understand how the website is used and to measure and improve our adverts.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose which types of cookies you allow. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Until you choose, only strictly necessary cookies are used. We use Google Consent Mode, which means that Google’s tags do not store or read analytics or advertising cookies unless you have agreed. Without consent they may send basic, cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed or a form was sent) that do not identify you.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the round cookie settings button in the bottom left corner of the website or by deleting cookies in your browser settings.

For more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also manage advert personalisation at adssettings.google.com and in your Facebook settings.
10. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the whole website, access to systems only for people who need it, password protection, spam protection on forms and regular software updates. Our providers are bound by contracts to keep data secure and confidential. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send original identity documents through the website form.
11. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 through the website. If you think a child has sent us their data, contact us and we will delete it. Where we act for a family (for example for child benefit or a trust), we process children’s data only as needed for that service and with a parent’s or guardian’s instructions.
12. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other websites, such as HMRC, Companies House, Google reviews or social media. We are not responsible for how those websites handle your data. Please read their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, the tools we use or the law change. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top. If changes are significant, we will make that clear on the website and, for clients, tell you directly.
